Chairperson

Ariel M. Torres serves as Chairperson of The Community Committee, bringing more than 18 years of nonprofit leadership and civic engagement experience to the role. Under Ariel’s guidance, the Committee has expanded neighborhood outreach programs, strengthened partnerships with local government and businesses, and increased volunteer participation by 40% over four years.

Before joining The Community Committee’s board, Ariel was Executive Director of CityServe Alliance, where they led strategic planning, fundraising, and program development initiatives that doubled annual operating revenue and launched a workforce-readiness program serving over 2,000 residents. Ariel’s career also includes roles in municipal planning and community development, where they managed neighborhood revitalization projects, affordable housing initiatives, and public safety collaborations.
